Praise is not a tool for entertainment but a means to express our acceptability of His enthronement.
A true prayerful man is a praiseful man
You cannot truly be saved and say you have nothing to praise God for.
Though the fig tree should not blossom, and there be no fruit on the vine; though the yield of the olive should fail, and the fields produce no food; though the flock should be cut off from the fold, and there be no cattle in the stalls; yet I will exult in the Lord. I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength. And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, and makes me walk on my high places. (Hab. 3:17-19).
Habakkuk the prophet: Natural circumstances give him absolutely no reason to praise God. Yet he decides to praise Him and exult in Him.
WHY? – Because he has a reason that far outweighs the circumstances. His exultation and rejoicing are in the fact that he knows God is his salvation. That word salvation, from the original Hebrew, means much more than having our sin washed away. The word translated salvation, in both Hebrew and Greek, means “deliverance, victory, health, and prosperity.”
Your praising God for what He has done, does not increase His capacity, it is only qualifying you for another victory.
We need to have an understanding that God is not limited by our circumstances but limited by our understanding. When you have an understanding of WHO your true FATHER is, then you can change your perspective on how to praise him in the midst of your circumstances.
Understand that:
* 1. God is too responsible: When you know that God is a responsible Father, you can be rest assured that you God is responsible for your life, hence you cannot be alone in the situation of life. He is always available and dependable. When you throw a baby of a child up as a Father, the child have no known fear, just for the fact that there is an assurance you will catch him/her up in your arms without falling.
These are the responsibility- Being Responsible: Accountable, Answerable, In-charge, In-control, In Authority and Liable.
But when your life lacks PRAISE, you are simply saying God is irresponsible, carelessly, and unreliably.
Make a shout to our responsible Father, praise Him with this understanding.
* 2. God cannot be an infidel (Latin word Unfaithful) –
You need to come to a point where you know that God cannot be an infidel. This gives you an assurance that God can supply all your needs. He is not unjust or unfaithful father, a far as you are not a bastard. You need to proof your Sonship as heir to God. When the legitimacy of your sonship is not in doubt, your entitlement is never denied. (Are you truly a son – redeemed, born again and serving Him). This confidence keeps you perpetually in the place of PRAISE. Thanking God continually for being a Faithful Father.
1Tim 5:8 (But if any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel).
* 3. It takes a man of prayer to send request to God about the situation but it takes a man of praise to send for God to come into the situation.
God’s delay is not a sign of God’s weakness (Widow’s Son -Mark 5:25, Jairus daughter-Mark 5:23
